Wayne E. Brucar has practiced criminal defense since 1983.  His vocation has always been the defense of those prosecuted and persecuted by the State and Federal Government.

Brucar graduated with High Honors from Chicago-Kent Law School in 1981.  After graduation, he worked as a public defender in DuPage and Lake Counties.  During this time, he pursued and obtained a Federal grant to develop and run a specialized drug defense unit within his office.  In addition to producing a wide ranging manual on how to aggressively defend drug cases, he developed a unique motion which can be used to force the State to disclose and produce confidential informants in drug transactions before trial.

Brucar has taken hundreds of felony cases to jury verdict and has run literally thousands of bench trials and motions.  His practice includes death penalty litigation on both a trial and post-conviction level.

He is a former instructor John Marshall Law School and served a term as president of the DuPage Criminal Defense Lawyers association.

In 1997, Brucar founded the firm that today is Brucar & Yetter, P.C.  He handles everything from traffic matters to murder trials and his practice encompasses State and Federal trial litigation, Secretary of State issues, juvenile court matters, appeals and post-conviction petitions.
